It's almost Christmas!

Hello, I haven't posted for AGES, it's been nearly 2 months!
I'm going to try and post regularly now,but it can get quite hard finding the time with School, treatments, hospital and Cheerleading!
But anyway, it's nearly Christmas, AHHHHHH I'm so excited! Over the past few months I haven't been 100% and I've had a few courses of antibiotics, probably because the weather has been really cold, raining all the time and VERY windy, but I am now on some more IVs, I have had my needle in for a week now, and I feel so much better, I have so much more energy which means I can get excited for Christmas! Then after Christmas on the 27th December I am going up to Scotland to see my Nan, Cousin, Auntie and Uncle!

Since my last post I got a new dog she is a Pug puppy and she is 13 weeks old now!

She loves her sleep!
And she loves cuddles and playtime!🐶

That's all for now, but I will try and post as often as I can!
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas as a happy new year!⭐️✨

Ivs, AGAIN :(

Hi everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't posted in AGES!
Well since I last posted I've been on holiday to turkey, it was really hot, we went on lots of trips including a jeep safari, two boat trips, a water park, and a few more things.
So I said in my last post that my doctor had prescribed me some antibiotics incase I started to feel a bit ill, so I started to use them on the second week of the holiday I think, I didn't feel to bad as i was in the heat and my chest always feels so much better in the heat than in the rubbish English weather!
So we though that if there was any infection in my chest that we got it in time as I started to feel much better, but then as we got back home to the UK I started feeling ill again!
I had a bad cold, I felt really tired, no energy and my chest didn't feel great,  I went up to the hospital and one of the doctors started me on a higher dose if the antibiotics! but they didn't do anything, they just gave me headaches and made me feel sick :(
We went back to the hospital but it was for my CF clinic, so there was lots of people wanting to see me!
There was my consultant, professor David, my outreach nurse, my dietician, and then some nurses from Manchester children's hospital, (I go there to see my liver specialist)
So I went to see my physio first and she did my lung function, and it was normal it had actually gone up a little bit since last time, then I got weighed and my weight had also gone up a little bit, but then when I went to see my consultant and professor they said my chest sounded a bit crackly, my consultant was going to start me on another course of antibiotics, but prof David said no, I had to start my Ivs, it had only been 7 weeks since I had my last course of Ivs, but he said if I didn't have them then I would of got quite ill, so I'm on my Ivs again, I started them on Tuesday 1st October, and I finish them ON MY BIRTHDAY 15th October, which means I'll have to go in hospital in my birthday, that's fun :(

Feeling great, HOLIDAY!

I finished my IVs last Tuesday, and I'm feeling great!
I have so much energy and can finally get back into the things I love, Cheerleading, Dancing and going out with my friends.
I'm so glad I feel A LOT better as next Tuesday (20th August) I am going on holiday to Turkey, there is quite a lot of us going, Me, mum, dad, 2 of my sisters, my 3 year old niece, my sisters boy friend, his mum, and MY BEST FRIEND JESS!
So we will have lots of fun! When I go on holiday my doctor prescribes me salt tablets to take, and extra antibiotics just in case of an infection, but hopefully I will be okay!
I will update more before I go on holiday!<3

IVs and CF clinic.

Hello!

I am just over half way through my 2 week course of IVs, it has already made me feel A LOT better, I have lots more energy, and want to be able to do things.
The only thing I don't like about it is I can't join in properly at Cheerleading or go out with my friends much as my Ivs are every 8 hours, 8 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon and then midnight.

CF clinic.

So today, Wednesday 31st July, I went to Cystic fibrosis clinic, everything went well, I put weight on, I grew a little, and my lung function stayed the same, I will have another lung function in just less than a weeks time (onTuesday) to check my lung function after my Ivs, so I'm hoping it will go up and won't be in the 80's. My normal lung function is usually between 90%-97% so it's usually pretty good!

Updates.

Sorry I haven't posted in AGES!

So I have had a rough couple of weeks, I'm due my IVs so I have been on 2 courses of antibiotics as I've not been too well, but I can't have my IVs yet as I have a cheerleading competition on Saturday so I'm excited! I go into hospital the Tuesday after the competition for my IVs.

The past few days have been extremely heart breaking for me, one of my best friends, Lizzie, my twinnie gained her angel wings and went up to heaven to join Lucy.
I was heart broken, I couldn't believe it, I didn't want to. I now know that Lizzie is out of pain and that she is looking out for me and all of her family and friends.
I know Lizzie was a big inspiration to many people, including me.
When we first met something clicked and we both knew that we would be friends FOREVER!
Rest In Paradise beautiful, I love you so much, and I always will do!<3

So hopefully i will feel a lot better in a few days!
~
I was supposed to have a Liver scan last Wednesday but the hospital re-arranged it for tomorrow, so hopefully everything will go okay, i will update when we know the results!

Feeling good!

So sorry i haven't been able to post in a while, my laptop was broke!
~
Any way, i'm feeling really good right now!
i had my tonsils out, the first week was difficult as i couldn't eat much and i need to eat to gain weight.
After the first week it started to ease of and i could eventually start eating harder foods.
~
I am now back at school, i have had my first week back, and it's good to be able to go out and go out with my friends!

TONSILS!

Tomorrow it is exactly a week since I started my IVs and I am feeling loads better already I actually have energy to do things, and I have even been out to my local theme park (Blackpool pleasure beach) quite a few times this week as I have a seasons pass!

Anyway tomorrow (Thursday 11th April) I am finally having my tonsils removed!
I'm a bit nervous, but not a lot!
I'm just not liking the fact that it will hurt to eat! But other than that I'm fine!
And I know it will help me a lot in the long run as my lung function will improve as I will be able to have my nebulisers all the time, so that will help a lot!
I will keep you updated on ho I am feeling after my operation!

Friday 5 April 2013

IVs, tonsils, and GTT

So I have now started my IVs (intravenous antibiotics) and I have had 2 days worth of them so far!
At the moment I don't feel any different but in a couple of days the antibiotics will make me feel like I have more energy, but I am having my tonsils out on Thursday, but I know it will help me In the future as when I have had twilit is in the past I haven't been able to have my nebulisers so it was making my lung function drop, but now my lung function has gone up to 94% from 86% so that's really good, as i Have had quite a few infections recently!

While I was at the hospital yesterday (Thursday 4th April) I also had a glucose tolerance test (GTT) to test me for diabetes, this means me not being able to eat or drink for a certain amount of time, then I have to have a blood test, then I have to drink a certain amount of glucose or original lucozade, I drank the lucozade as the glucose is very horrible and thick/gloopy! So after i have drunk it all i have to wait 2 hours for another blood test! We haven't got the results for it yet, but when I know I will update!
I will update you more on my IVs and tonsils soon!

LONDON, ivs and tonsils!

I am in London now! We have come for a long weekend away and to see one direction on Monday (1st April) so I'm so so excited! I have been waiting over a year to come!

Also I am starting my IVs (intravenous antibiotics) on Thursday (4th April) I will be having these for two weeks, and they will make me feel alot better as I am getting really tired easily at the moment.

And the last thing is that I have a date to get my tonsils out, which is exactly a week after I start my IVs so Thursday (11th April) so hopefully that will make me feel alot better to!
I will keep update on how I am feeling after the operation and how my throat feels!

Still ill!

So I thought I was getting better, but then I felt really bad again, I got back to school for two days, and then I was off since Tuesday again!
It's now Thursday, and I still feel just as bad, if not worse!
It's horrible, I feel like I have no energy what's so ever, I have coldsores which I get every time I am run down, and I keep going hot then cold, headaches and feeling sick. I still have a cough but it's not as bad any more and my chest feels alot better than it did last week, if I do any exercise then I do cough alot more, but if I'm just sat down then it isn't that bad!
So I have to rest, and then hopefully ill be alot better next week!

Thursday 28 February 2013

Not to good!

So I haven't been to good this week, I started getting a tight chest, coughing alot and finding it hard to breath!
We wasn't to sure if it was an infection in my lungs or if I have had a reaction to some antibiotics, we have stopped the antibiotics and I have been put on some augamentin duo, which I have had before so in a couple of days it should of cleared up!
(Hopefully!)

Holiday!

I am now on holiday in Sharm el sheikh, Egypt!
It's so hot and the hotel is absolutely AMAZING!
I have got quite a few mosquito bites! (65+) but other than that i am having an amazing time, and the swimming pool is amazing, it is huge but it is very very cold! (like ice cubes!)
I am coming home next Thursday 14th February, but i don't want to leave!

- having some cocktails in the sun!

CF clinic and Holiday!

Okay so i have a cough still but i have had CF clinic on Wednesday 30th and i had my lung function!
My lung function stayed the same at 86% which is okay as it hasn't gone down, i have also grown a centimeter and i have put weight on!
My doctor listened to my chest as i was coughing and it sounds clear, so he thinks that is just in my throat.
~
But I am so so so excited because in 2 days (Saturday 2nd February) i am going to Egypt with my two sisters, Kimberley and Danielle, and also with my Niece Isabella!
I can't wait to go as i didn't go on holiday last year so I'm excited to get tanned and go in the pool!
My doctor gave me some antibiotics to take with me just incase my cough doesn't get better but other than that ill be GREAT!

Tuesday 22 January 2013

Not feeling 100% and my cheerleading competition!

So over the past week or so, i have had tonsillitis again!
and my sinus' have been blocked, and getting headaches, but im starting to feel better now, just got a really annoying cough which wont go!
~
But, over the weekend i had a Cheerleading competition, at Norbreck castle, i was very nervous, as it was my first competition with my new team Rising stars!
I was in 4 different routines, i came 1st in 3 of my routines, and 3rd in one of my routines!
so everyone was happy!
But overall our team got 14 first places, 2 thirds 1 fifth, and 3 grand champions!
It was such a good weekend!

Friday 4 January 2013

Finally finished my IV's & my E.N.T appointment!

Today i finally got my needle out!
so i am needle and IV free until the next three months is over!
And i can now get back to the things i love doing, such as Cheerleading and Dancing!
I also had an appointment with the E.N.T (ear, nose and throat) doctor, she checked my throat and my tonsils, and asked how many times i have had it this year, and she thought that it was time to get them out!
So i was happy that she said this as non of my normal doctors or nurses, thought i should, as i will have to go under general anesthetic, and because of my chest sometimes it cat be a great idea, but because i have no infection and my lung function is pretty good, the operation will be fine!
The operation it's self will take about 20 minutes, and i will be asleep for about an hour at the most!

Thursday 3 January 2013

End of IV'S and E.N.T appointment!

By 'Mr wiggly' ;)
Well, tomorrow is my last day of IV'S and i get my needle out!
So i am really excited!
I also have an appointment at the hospital at E.N.T (ear, nose and throat) as i have had tonsillitis about 8/9 times this year! (well 2012! )
And when i have tonsillitis it stops me from having my nebulisers, as it stings my throat!
So hopefully the doctor will do something about it!

I am also not feeling great today, and i am in bed, but i should be better tomorrow!

Tuesday 1 January 2013

Happy New year!

I'm in the fight to beat Cystic Fibrosis!
I have been fighting this horrible disease since I was born, but I only found out when I was 8 years old!
The past few years have been hard, but I'm proud to say I'm BEATING cystic fibrosis!
For Christmas I wished that we could all have a cure, but it didn't come true!
So I hope that 2013 is OUR year, and I hope that everyone suffering can finally breathe without struggling!♥
I really hope this year CF will stand for Cure Found!

I have also joined the organ donor register!
It was easy to do and only took a few seconds!
Most people usually say, ' I cant sign up, i am to young' or, say they don't have time, or even say that they can't because they don't want to give their organs away. But when you have lived your life, and your time has come your organ's will still have life left in them, so why don't you join the register?

It could save someones life!
