update..

I have been keeping pretty well at the moment, I've just had a persistent cough which i have been put on another dose of oral antibiotics, which to be honest is making it better already - and I've only been on them a few days!
We have also just recently found out that i am very anemic so i have been put on a lot of iron tablets, i had blood tests done back in February just before i got admitted into hospital to start my IVS, and the results just got back a few weeks ago and my blood counts were very low - which explains why i kept going dizzy, feeling weak, feeling sick and looking very pale. I've been taking the iron for about 2 weeks now and i feel a lot better but not 100% yet, but I'm sure in the next week or two I'll be 110%!
I have my next E.N.T appointment on Thursday (10th April) and I'm hoping that the doctor will actually do something about my sinuses and headaches this time and not just keep prescribing me more nose spray which I've had twice already and it hasn't worked on both occasions. A few years back i had a sinus wash out, it is an operation which basically cleans my sinuses! When i had it last it made a whole lot of difference and the consultant did say i may need it again when I'm around 15/16 years old.

I will do another update about how the appointment goes and what is going to happen.

ill, = early Ivs :(

I haven't been feeling to good for quite a while now, basically since the new year!
My chest hasn't felt 'good' for AGES and i just haven't felt like myself in a while. I had been on 3 different courses of antibiotics all of which for 2 weeks, but it still didn't work and if anything i felt worse not better!

So after a few weeks and my mum and dad knew i wasn't feeling any better they decided to take me up to the hospital again, but this time even the doctors and nurses knew that there was something wrong with me, so they called up my CF consultant (Dr Ned). He was quite glad i had gone up to the hospital as he had just got my cough swab results back which showed i was growing some more Pseudomonas in my lungs. So he admitted me on to the adolescent ward, and started my IVs right away.

When i usually go on my IVs i only have one antibiotic called Ceftazidime but this time aswell as Ceftaz they started me on another antibiotic called Tobramycin to try and dampen the pseudo down and get my lung function up to the 90's again!

I am now out of the hospital but my IVs will carry on until nextThursday.

Update. And cheerleading competition!

Just a little Update!

I have been to the hospital today, firstly for a port flush and also to be looked at by a doctor as I have been feeling abit under the weather for a week or so, I have been on a few courses of antibiotics but non of them have made me feel much better so we thought it was a good idea for the doctor to listen to my chest again!
Im back at home now, but the doctor has given me another course of antibiotics because my cough still isn't going away so hopefully I wont need anymore after I finish these! I have also been getting a lot of headaches recently because my sinuses are playing up :( but my doctor has given me some drops to put in my nose until I get an appointment through to go the E.N.T department at the hospital!

Anyway some good news, last weekend (January 25th) I had a Cheerleading competition!
I was in 5 routines, and it was an amazing day, We came 1st in 4 of the routines and 2nd in the other! We also came Overall grand champions in our Junior Jazz division and we got a fully paid bid to go to a competition in Edinburgh Scotland in a couple of weeks, so that will be really good practise for us before nationals in March!

It's almost Christmas!

Hello, I haven't posted for AGES, it's been nearly 2 months!
I'm going to try and post regularly now,but it can get quite hard finding the time with School, treatments, hospital and Cheerleading!
But anyway, it's nearly Christmas, AHHHHHH I'm so excited! Over the past few months I haven't been 100% and I've had a few courses of antibiotics, probably because the weather has been really cold, raining all the time and VERY windy, but I am now on some more IVs, I have had my needle in for a week now, and I feel so much better, I have so much more energy which means I can get excited for Christmas! Then after Christmas on the 27th December I am going up to Scotland to see my Nan, Cousin, Auntie and Uncle!

Since my last post I got a new dog she is a Pug puppy and she is 13 weeks old now!

She loves her sleep!
And she loves cuddles and playtime!🐶

That's all for now, but I will try and post as often as I can!
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas as a happy new year!⭐️✨

Ivs, AGAIN :(

Hi everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't posted in AGES!
Well since I last posted I've been on holiday to turkey, it was really hot, we went on lots of trips including a jeep safari, two boat trips, a water park, and a few more things.
So I said in my last post that my doctor had prescribed me some antibiotics incase I started to feel a bit ill, so I started to use them on the second week of the holiday I think, I didn't feel to bad as i was in the heat and my chest always feels so much better in the heat than in the rubbish English weather!
So we though that if there was any infection in my chest that we got it in time as I started to feel much better, but then as we got back home to the UK I started feeling ill again!
I had a bad cold, I felt really tired, no energy and my chest didn't feel great,  I went up to the hospital and one of the doctors started me on a higher dose if the antibiotics! but they didn't do anything, they just gave me headaches and made me feel sick :(
We went back to the hospital but it was for my CF clinic, so there was lots of people wanting to see me!
There was my consultant, professor David, my outreach nurse, my dietician, and then some nurses from Manchester children's hospital, (I go there to see my liver specialist)
So I went to see my physio first and she did my lung function, and it was normal it had actually gone up a little bit since last time, then I got weighed and my weight had also gone up a little bit, but then when I went to see my consultant and professor they said my chest sounded a bit crackly, my consultant was going to start me on another course of antibiotics, but prof David said no, I had to start my Ivs, it had only been 7 weeks since I had my last course of Ivs, but he said if I didn't have them then I would of got quite ill, so I'm on my Ivs again, I started them on Tuesday 1st October, and I finish them ON MY BIRTHDAY 15th October, which means I'll have to go in hospital in my birthday, that's fun :(
